On the left is the last remaining pithead in Barnsley- Barnsley Main Pithead, still standing despite the fact that the industry is decimated.
Ironically, when they filmed 'Brassed Off' the site was not suitable and they had to build a set.
It stands, shrouded in trees, overlooking the Dearne Valley; a reminder of our economic and cultural past.
